Redbery Reads “Nature’s Calendar”

Thursdays, June 30 through August 4, at 10:30 a.m.

Redbery Reads is  story time that helps kids connect to the world around them. There will be stories, hands-on activities, serious learning, and lots of fun. All ages, young and old are welcome. Programs are geared to 6 – 10-year-olds. Experts in the field will be part of each program. Donations accepted

Thursday, July 7: Marvelous Metamorphosis

What happens to tadpoles and caterpillars? We’ll find out through books, music, circle activities, and a craft.

 

Thursday, July 14: Sunny Summer Days

Swimming, hiking, biking, boating, and star gazing are some of our favorite summer activities. What are yours? Join us for books, music, circle activities, and a simple craft celebrating all things summer.

 

Thursday, July 21: Puddle Jumping

A rainy day in summer can be lots of fun, and the flowers and grass need water to keep growing. We’ll celebrate rainy days with books, music, circle activities, and a simple project.

 

Thursday, July 28: Redbery Reads Around the Farm

We’ll learn about the history of farming in northern Wisconsin, tour the farm buildings, visit the Community Chicken Coop, the Community Orchard, and the Growing Together Garden. We’ll read books, sing songs, tell jokes, and maybe even taste some weeds! Meet at The Cable Community Farm located at 13765 Perry Lake Road, just one mile north of Redbery Books.

 

Thursday, August 4: Sleepytime for Bears

It’s time for the bears to curl up in their dens for the winter. Join us for books, music, circle activities, and a simple craft celebrating one of our favorite mammals—bears!
