Meet at the Museum from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. for the Winter Animal Tracking field experience. Participants will carpool to areas within the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in search of animal tracks such as: wolf, coyote, fox, fisher, bobcat, elk, and deer. Depending on the snow depth and location of tracks, tracking may be done on snowshoes over uneven terrain. A limited number of adult snowshoes are available for use from the Museum with advanced notice. Participants must provide their own bag lunch. Dress accordingly for the weather. The field session is dependent on weather conditions and may need to be rescheduled. Space is limited. Registration is required by January 20 by calling 715-798-3890. $15 member/$20 non-member covers both sessions.
