Learn about local wild edibles! Join Cable Natural History Naturalist Intern Mollie Kreb to gather cattails in an easily-accessible wetland about 8 miles from the Museum. Bring grubby shoes or rubber boots. Long sleeves and pants are recommended. Cattail flower spikes can be eaten like sweet corn, and the pollen is an excellent addition to breads and cookies. We’ll cook up our finds in the Museum kitchen for a light lunch! Meet at the Museum at 10:00 a.m., and finish by 1:00 p.m. Register by July 5 by calling 715-798-3890. $12 member/$17 non-member, max $25/$36 per family.
