Join Wisconsin Master Naturalist Volunteer Brenda Maier at the Cable Natural History Museum to make and decorate a beautiful, durable walking stick from a tamarack pole. Adults who want the full experience can come at 9:00 a.m., and bring a sharp knife to strip the bark off their pole. Anyone, including kids ages 8 and up with an adult helper, can arrive at 11:00 a.m. to decorate and personalize a pre-stripped stick. Everyone should be able to finish by noon. Space is limited. Register online at www.cablemuseum.org or call 715-798-3890 by October 12. $11 member/$16 non-member per walking stick.
