Join Wisconsin Master Naturalist Volunteer Brenda Maier to make and decorate a beautiful, durable walking stick from a tamarack pole. Adults who want the full experience can come to the Cable Natural History Museum at 9:00 a.m., and bring a sharp knife to strip the bark off their pole. Anyone, including kids ages 8 and up with an adult helper, can arrive at 11:00 a.m. to decorate and personalize a pre-stripped stick. Everyone should be able to finish by noon. Space is limited. Register by July 8 by calling 715-798-3890. $10 member/$15 non-member per walking stick.
