Nocturnal animals are often difficult to observe because they only come out at night. Brian Heeringa, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest Wildlife Biologist, will bring in two live big brown bats for you to have an up close look at one of Wisconsin’s resident bats. Adults are welcome, too. Meet at the Cable Natural History Museum from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Junior Naturalist Programs offer environmental education for children in grades K-6 through games, art, and outdoor exploration. The cost is $5 for members/$7 non-members per program or $55/$80 for the series of 12 programs. Scholarships are available. Call 715-798-3890 for more information.
