Joseph Jenkins Lecture Series: Strange beasts and odd relatives – How molecular data has re-arranged our understanding of the tree of life
Wednesday, July 6, 2016 @ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The five-kingdom system is a thing of the past. New analyses have revealed more diversity than we ever imagined. In this talk, Meredith Thomsen, Professor of Biology and Director of Environmental Studies, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, will explore our current understanding of that diversity, with an emphasis on oddball organisms and some surprisingly close relatives. 7:00 p.m. at the Cable Community Centre. Donations welcome. For more information call the Cable Natural History Museum 715-798-3890.
