Joseph Jenkins Lecture Series: 50 Years of Wild & Scenic
Wednesday, July 18 @ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act, which protects the Namekagon and St. Croix Rivers. Known for its clean water, beautiful scenery and array of recreational opportunities, the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway is visited by thousands of people every year. How did a place once manipulated and harnessed for its power in the logging industry become such a treasured destination? Join SCNSR Superintendent Julie Galonska for a look back at its history. 7:00 at the Cable Natural History Museum. Refreshments. Sponsored by Henry and Jodi Kingdon. Donations welcome. For more info call 715-798-3890 or go to cablemuseum.org.
