Join Museum Naturalist Haley Appleman for an afternoon at Crex Meadows Wildlife Area near Grantsburg, WI. We’ll spend a few hours in the afternoon exploring the marshes and brush prairies, looking for species such as trumpeter swans and rough-legged hawks. Toward dusk we’ll be able to see hundreds, if not thousands, of sandhill cranes as they move into the refuge from surrounding areas to roost for the night. Stop for dinner in Siren at Adventures Restaurant & Pub on the way home.
